The other day, we put together a feature on lunch spots around Shukugawa, but there was one place we missed.
That place is “Angel Cafe SANTA CRUZ（エンジェルカフェサンタクルス）.”
When you hear Santa Cruz, you may think of the obstetrics and gynecology clinic near Shukugawa Station, but in recent years they have expanded into pediatrics, maternity fitness, ladies’ acupuncture, and other services. Apparently, they have also been running a cafe for about four years.
It is a cafe that anyone can enter, not just Santa Cruz patients, but quite a few people may have overlooked it.
This time, we visited “Angel Cafe SANTA CRUZ（エンジェルカフェサンタクルス）.”

Food at “Angel Cafe SANTA CRUZ（エンジェルカフェサンタクルス）”
The cafe mainly serves drinks and sweets, but there is one food item as well.
Here it is.
The “Margherita-style Naan Pizza Set”（７５０円）.
It is a pizza toast made with naan, topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and basil sauce.
You can also order it on its own, but the set comes with salad and a drink.
It was my first time trying pizza toast made with naan, and it had a flavor and texture different from both pizza crust and sliced bread. It was very tasty.
For the drink, I chose hot coffee.
This place originally was not a cafe, but the waiting area of the obstetrics and gynecology clinic. I remembered often having coffee here when I came along for maternity checkups and other visits（back then, coffee was all-you-can-drink）.
Since I was there, I decided to have some sweets too.
This is the “Apple Pie à la Mode Set”（８００円）.
The apple pie is topped with vanilla ice cream and served with whipped cream, raspberry sauce, and fruit（a drink is included too）.
Like the naan pizza, this is the kind of sweet that feels like it should exist, but you do not see very often.
The rich, full sweetness of the apple pie and vanilla ice cream paired perfectly with the refreshing tartness of the fruit on the side.

This building originally housed the obstetrics and gynecology clinic, but that clinic has now moved next door, and this building is now home to pediatrics and other services.
