“Try-Yaru Week” is being held again this year.
Kawaragi Junior High School’s theme is “Step UP: Creating the Foundation for the Future”
Nishinomiya’s “Try-Yaru Week” is held every year from May to June, and this week (May 18–22) is the turn for Kawaragi, Hiraki, Kurakuen, Fukatsu, Kami-Koshien, Masago, Takasu, and Shiose junior high schools, as well as Nishinomiyahama Compulsory Education School.
The Fukatsu sign is hidden behind the Kawaragi one. This design hasn’t changed for ages.
At ACTA Nishinomiya, they’re doing it at all kinds of places, including Junkudo, Nishinomiya Kitaguchi Dental Clinic, Co-op Kobe, Nishikita Blood Donation Room, and Kitaguchi Library.
“Try-Yaru” isn’t just held at shops. It also takes place at elementary schools, nursery schools, fire stations, and more, so the range is actually pretty broad.
This photo is from last year, but here’s what it actually looks like! It seems like a lot of fun!

Finally
The host locations and number of students accepted for “Try-Yaru Week” are also listed on the Nishinomiya City website. If you’re a first-year junior high school student, it might be a good idea to start thinking about it now.
If you spot signs from other junior high schools too, please take a photo and send it to Nishitsu! ■■■We’re looking for your tips!■■■
