I’ve been trying various roast beef bowls around Nishinomiya, and when I started looking, it seems there are still plenty more out there.
Apparently, “ムートンコーヒー” in Koshien, which we visited before, also serves a roast beef bowl, so this time I went to “ムートンコーヒー.”

This place is both a cafe and a meat bar, so the meat menu is very extensive.
What kind of roast beef will it be?

“MOUTON COFFEE（ムートンコーヒー）” Food
This is the “Roast Beef Bowl (extra meat)” (1,400 yen).
I was told you can get a large serving of rice for free, so I went with the large size.
For the sauce, you can choose either “garlic sauce” or “Chaliapin sauce.”
“Chaliapin sauce” is a sauce made with finely chopped onions, and since I’d had quite a few chances to try it recently, I chose the “garlic sauce” this time.
You can also choose either “shiso leaves” or “nori” as a topping, and this time I went with the “shiso leaves.”
The roast beef is sliced relatively thick, and the rice is multigrain rice.
The garlic sauce is soy sauce-based, and the garlic flavor comes through more than I expected.
The flavors of garlic and sesame really stand out, and they seemed to bring out the savory flavor of the thickly sliced meat very nicely.
Since I’d come to a cafe, I had a “hot coffee” after the meal (250 yen with the lunch set).
Here, you can choose the roast level.
Of course, I chose “dark roast.”
It wasn’t just pleasantly bitter; the aroma came through nicely too, making it a delicious cup of coffee.
