A baby castella specialty shop called “総本家 八竹堂” has opened in Tsuto Nishiguchi-cho on Fukushi Center-suji, south of JR Nishinomiya Station.
This was apparently a temporary pop-up, and the shop is no longer there.

If you go this way, you’ll soon reach the Naruo-Mikage Line. Continue straight and you’ll find Saizeriya and the General Welfare Center, leading toward National Route 43.

If you go the other way, you’ll find KJ’S kitchen and National Route 2. Cross Route 2 and you’ll reach Frente Nishinomiya and JR Nishinomiya Station.
They Only Sell Baby Castella
The baby castella from 八竹堂 are made with wheat from Hyogo Prefecture and apparently don’t get hard even after they cool down.

Just last month, “八竹堂” opened along the Yamate Kansen near Shukugawa.
It feels like we might be seeing more and more of them from here on out.
