At Kotoen Station, there’s a place called “Cafe Nadi” where you can enjoy authentic Asian food made by the owner, who is from Bali.
Really? I love Asian food. I want to try it!!
So we went to “Cafe Nadi” in Kotoen.

The Food at “Cafe Nadi”

Vegetable Curry (with sweet-and-sour pickled vegetables) 850 yen

Just like the name “vegetable curry” suggests, it’s packed with lots and lots of vegetables♪
The unfamiliar beans lined up there, which don’t really look like vegetables, are a food called “tempeh”😀
Apparently it’s sometimes called “Indonesian natto.”
When I tried it, it had a sweetness to it, almost like a snack♪
It doesn’t taste like natto at all😄
The curry starts with the sweetness of coconut milk, then a nice spicy kick comes in afterward.
You get both sweetness and heat, and it’s delicious! Everyone has different tastes, of course, but personally, this was exactly the kind of curry I love😊

Nasi Goreng (Balinese-style fried rice, with soup and grilled chicken skewer) ¥850
This had a flavor you just can’t recreate at home.
I couldn’t even tell what was giving it all that umami.
It was delicious, with a flavor that made me feel like I was eating in a hot tropical country♪

We also had mango lassi and banana lassi😃
The portions were generous too, and we left completely full!

Inside “Cafe Nadi”

There are table seats and a tatami-style seating area, so it looks like a comfortable place to visit even with small children.

They also have cute Asian goods on display, so you can enjoy a bit of shopping too♪
