If you head north along Koshikiiwa-suji from Hankyu Shukugawa Station toward Kurakuenguchi Station, you’ll come across a yakiniku restaurant called “成田屋.”
It’s a fairly large restaurant with a noticeable sign, so many of you may already know it.
They’re also open for lunch, and even on weekday afternoons the place is lively with plenty of customers.
This time, we stopped by during lunch and tried one of their set meals.
“成田屋” Food

We ordered the “Yakiniku Set Meal” (1,050 yen).
It comes with the main “yakiniku,” plus “rice,” “soup,” “salad,” “chijimi,” “namul,” and “kimchi.”
Even though it’s a yakiniku set meal, it includes plenty of vegetables too, so it looks nicely balanced.

Here’s the main yakiniku.
You can also add extra meat for an additional 330 yen.

You grill it on this wire mesh.
Since it’s grilled over the mesh, the excess fat drips away, making it feel a bit healthier.
The dipping sauce is a light, refreshing type with a little acidity.
It was delicious and made the rice go down easily. I wanted a beer too, but held back…
Being able to enjoy yakiniku at lunchtime is pure happiness, isn’t it?
