There is an ancient burial mound near the edge of Kwansei Gakuin University.
I also went to Kwansei Gakuin, but this burial mound is in a place you would not normally pass by during everyday student life, so I think quite a few Kwansei students may not even know about it.

The burial mound is at the end of this path.

When you get closer, you’ll find this explanatory sign.
According to the sign, it is a burial mound built around the 7th century.

This is what the area around the burial mound looks like.

This is the entrance to the burial mound.
It really gives you a sense of history and romance.
This area is known as the “Uegahara Kofun Group,” and there used to be many ancient burial mounds here, but only a small number remain today.
