Now then, let’s head right into osteria(オステリア)るこら・るっこら!

Near the door,

there’s a sign for るこら・るっこら.

A lunch menu board,

a dinner menu board,

and a board showing the opening hours are all set out there.

Open the door decorated with a frying pan, and inside you’ll find

a cozy, intimate space with a calm atmosphere.
Some customers who have traveled in Europe have even said that るこら・るっこら has the same warm, homey feel as restaurants over there.
The table seating inside is:

- Three tables for 2
- Three tables for 4

for a total of 18 seats.

Near the door,
they sell るこら・るっこら original T-shirts and hoodies.

These original T-shirts and hoodies
were made two years ago to commemorate the restaurant’s 20th anniversary.

Chef Tanaka of るこら・るっこら, on the right, is wearing size L.
The female staff member on the left is wearing size XL.

There are also lap blankets near the door.

And here you’ll find
bottles of alcohol, a stereo, CDs, and more.
By the way, るこら・るっこら is particular about its BGM: they only play Western music from the ’80s.

They also sell single-use olive oil, essential for Italian and French cuisine, for ¥50(tax included).

The CD on the right is by V!VA BOYS,
an artist active at live houses around the Hanshinkan area.
V!VA BOYS’ Facebook page is here.
At るこら・るっこら,
they occasionally hold live performances,
though not on a fixed schedule.
You can enjoy live music
while savoring Italian and French dishes♪

What’s more, Chef Tanaka of るこら・るっこら can play guitar too♪
Near the restroom,
Chef Tanaka’s own guitar is displayed.
Other items displayed on the walls inside include…

a French cookbook.
This is a book Chef Tanaka bought while training in France.

Near the table seating,
there is also a menu board on display.
It’s placed somewhere easy to see, and the board lists dishes made with seasonal ingredients, so when you visit るこら・るっこら, be sure to check the board menu!

There are warm, antique-style light fixtures,

oil paintings by an acquaintance of Chef Tanaka,

and an illustration of the るこら・るっこら restaurant.

This plaque and certificate for excellence in quality control
certify that the restaurant’s quality control activities received high praise.

There is also a certificate of appreciation from the Mayor of Kumamoto City on display.
This certificate of appreciation was awarded when,
in addition to Chef Tanaka of るこら・るっこら,
- “Chinese Restaurant 青椒 ぴーまん,” which we previously introduced in “Show Us Your Shop!”
- “Patisserie Miu Miu,” a cake shop in Nada Ward
- “pas à pas…(パザパ),” a French restaurant in Shukugawa
and others formed a group called “Le Lien(ル・リアン)絆〜食楽,” made up of eight chefs from different genres who share knowledge and techniques through cooking, and carried out support activities for areas affected by the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake.
In addition to disaster area support,
“Le Lien(ル・リアン)絆〜食楽” regularly holds events featuring collaborations between different genres of cuisine.
