“Shingetsu Gyoza” from 新月

Shingetsu Gyoza (fresh), 18 pieces: 550 yen

1. Heat a frying pan well, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, and line up the gyoza.
2. Add 150cc of hot water or water for every 10 gyoza (180cc for 20 pieces), cover with a lid, and steam-fry over high heat until almost all the liquid is gone.

3. When the sizzling sound changes to a crisp popping sound, remove the lid and let the excess moisture evaporate over medium heat.
4. Once the bottoms turn golden brown, they’re ready!
※For an even crispier finish, drizzle sesame oil around the edge of the pan at the end.

Place a plate over the cooked gyoza and flip the whole frying pan over to plate them nicely.
The gyoza came out beautifully with crispy wings~(^o^)

You can choose from three sauces: “Gyoza Sauce,” “Vinegar Soy Sauce,” and “Rich Umami Sauce.”

The wrappers are nice and chewy~

They’re packed with vegetables and taste light, but the savory flavor of the vegetables and meat really comes through in a juicy burst. I could get hooked~
They apparently use garlic from Aomori, which means the smell is less likely to linger the next day~It really didn’t bother me the next day.
I used to be the type who wanted to make gyoza myself, but knowing there’s a “新月” nearby, I might stop making them at home。。。
