Koshien Kumano Shrine is said to be celebrating its 400th anniversary this year, after welcoming a deity (Senju Kannon) from Kumano Nachi Taisha in Wakayama Prefecture in the first year of the Kan’ei era (1624)〜⛩️👏

This is a historic commemorative event marking 400 years since the deity was welcomed here. By the way, Koshien Kumano Shrine was long known in the past as “Nyakuoji Shrine,” then around the 5th year of the Ansei era its name changed to “Nyakuoji Daigongen,” and in the early Meiji period it became today’s “Kumano Shrine”〜.
