Unbeatable Value!! We Tried the Daily Set Meal at Mimatsu Under the Hankyu Tracks【Nishitsu Gourmet】

I went to “Mimatsu,” a casual eatery in Koshimizu-cho, just off Route 171 under the Hankyu railway overpass.

The exterior has so much character, and it looked like the kind of place Goro-san from Solitary Gourmet might visit, so I’d been curious about it for ages～(^^)/ When I stepped inside, there were obanzai side dishes lined up on the counter, and it had that cozy, family-run feel!!
Exactly what I was hoping for～!!

It gets busy around noon with office workers and regulars, so I recommend going from around 13:00.
At night, it seems to turn into an izakaya🍺

The Food at “Mimatsu”

Omakase Set Meal　500 yen

Whaaaat!!! So cheap😆With this many dishes, plus four side dishes, all for 500 yen? The value is unbeatable.

As the name suggests, the omakase set meal is up to the restaurant～

What comes out is part of the fun～ only the owner knows😀

A small serving of curry and udon together? Isn’t that just too good?? The small portion is the key

It perfectly satisfies that “I just want a little bit” craving😍

You can turn it into curry rice or curry udon too. Too powerful!!

The curry was gently spicy, and the udon broth was on the sweeter side～

Simmered dried daikon strips, simmered hijiki, simmered chicken liver, and simmered daikon

It also came with a cream croquette～

You get to try a little bit of all kinds of things, so it’s super satisfying～
Warm, gentle flavors. Homemade food really is the best～

Simmered Mackerel Set Meal　500 yen

The simmered mackerel has a sweet seasoning, with just the right mackerel richness, and it makes the rice go down so easily!

For the small side dishes, you can choose any two you like from the obanzai on the counter～♪

Every dish is filled with warmth and gentleness, and the flavor, balance, and price were all incredibly satisfying.
