Tomorrow, Friday, November 29,
got an early sneak peek inside Saint Marc’s new restaurant concept, “BAKERY RESTAURANT C(Bakery Restaurant C)”, which is having its grand opening at Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens!
Here it is on the floor map↓

It’s on the 4th floor of the Main Building, between Gyubei Souan and the tonkatsu restaurant “Katsukura.” This used to be where Uomori was.
Only kids can go in!?

Here’s what it looks like when you walk in! Rounded curves, wood-grain walls, and warm lighting make it feel super exciting.
But what is that mysterious stone-oven-looking thing!?
Whoa!! Something black is watching!

I-is this… some kind of ritual…?
That’s what we thought, but there were lots of adorable breads in the middle.
And the tongs are cat paws! Look closely and you’ll see paw pads too
Here’s the answer: it’s an area where only kids can enter(elementary school age and younger only). It’s called “Kodomo no Pan-ya-san” — the kids’ bakery.
For the all-you-can-eat menu’s “kids’ bread,” children can go inside here and choose their own bread. (They said a sign will be added when it opens, so we’re excited to see how it turns out)
Kids always want to copy adults and pick up the bread themselves, don’t they?
But at a bakery, you’re usually too nervous to let them do it because you’re thinking, “They might drop the bread…”
Here, though, you can let that dream come true!! It’s like a KidZania-style pretend bread-shopping experience has arrived in Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi
By the way, “BAKERY RESTAURANT C” recently opened in Shibuya and Tokyo Dome City too, but this kids’ area is available only at the Nishinomiya Gardens location. So it’s seriously special!!!
The entrance and tables are low, so it really feels like you’re stepping into a secret base.
There were still more fun things to see inside, but you’re probably curious about the food too, so let’s start with the gourmet part.
What We Ate at “BAKERY RESTAURANT C”
Lunch Menu

Lunch at “BAKERY RESTAURANT C” comes with your choice of main dish + soup + salad + your choice of bread, for a total of 4 items.

This time, out of the 10 “choice of main dish” options, we got to try a special lineup of 4 dishes! We’ll also introduce some à la carte dishes and desserts.

For the “choice of bread,” you can pick 2 items from this corner.
They’re nicely sized, on the smaller side. These breads are also available for takeout.
A crisp, fresh salad. The dressing is light and refreshing.

A gentle, comforting soup. The sweetness of the vegetables slowly soaks in.
Choice of Main Dish No. 1

Roast Duck with Very Berry Sauce À la carte ¥1,859(tax included)

This duck is thick and plump. It has a nice springy bite, and it goes so well with the sweet-and-tart berry demi-glace.
Choice of Main Dish No. 2
Mille-Feuille Cutlet with Gorgonzola À la carte ¥1,859(tax included)
Prosciutto and cheese are layered inside, giving it a crisp and tender texture. The sweetness of the cheese spreads through your mouth, and kids will probably love it too. I want to eat this again!

I thought, “Is this potato?” when I tried it, but it turned out to be baked apple! It’s nice that they even add a little dessert-like touch.
Choice of Main Dish No. 3

Grilled Chicken with Tomato Cacqué Sauce À la carte ¥1,419(tax included)
The white topping seems to be tomato essence whipped into a foam. I’ve never had anything like this before!
