The site of “Imazu Hama Ebisu Shrine” in Imazu Kusugawa-cho along the Rinko Line has been cleared and is now vacant land.
(This information was provided by Kocchi no Inocchi and Kumami @ Nishi2 sp.)

Except for the three trees in the foreground, everything including the torii gate, worship hall, and komainu guardian statues has been removed, leaving the site completely cleared.

According to Nishi2 reader Kocchi no Inocchi, it had already been in this state around mid-April of this year.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 12-7 Imazu Kusugawa-cho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Area Around the Former Site of “Imazu Hama Ebisu Shrine”

Across the street, there is a Daiso and Y!mobile.

If you go this way, you’ll find Tsuruha Drug, Amibiki Park, Lawson, and then head toward LaLaport Koshien.

If you go in the opposite direction, there is Suginoki, Kohnan, and other places.

At New Year’s in 2024, Shachomi @ Nishi2 visited “Imazu Hama Ebisu Shrine” as part of the YouTube project “How Many Shrines in Nishinomiya Can We Visit in 6 Hours?”

There was a dove ornament at the torii gate,

and the komainu were holding large balls.

It felt like a small, quiet shrine tucked away in the city, and it was such a calming space.

Finally
I’m sure some people in the neighborhood used to visit regularly, or went there every year for hatsumode, the first shrine visit of the New Year. It was a shrine that we at Nishi2 also had memories of, so it’s truly sad to see it gone. Thank you for everything!
※Kocchi no Inocchi and Kumami @ Nishi2 sp, thank you very much for the information!!
