In the symbol zone of Kabutoyama Forest Park, there is a statue called the “Statue of Love,” which truly serves as the symbol of the park.

The statue stands with Kabutoyama in the background.

This is the “Statue of Love.”

There is an explanatory sign here.
It says, “Kabutoyama Forest Park is a commemorative park built to honor the glory of 100 years of prefectural government and 100 years since the Meiji era. Construction of the main facilities was completed in April 1973. As the commemorative monument for the Symbol Zone, the park’s central facility, the ‘Love’ statue was erected based on calligraphy by Governor Tokitada Sakai. The work was created by sculptor Hideo Shintani. It stands 8.6 meters above ground; the pedestal is made of red granite, and the sculpture itself is made of white marble.”
That is what is written.
This is one of my recommended spots for getting a beautiful view of Kabutoyama, so if you have the chance, please be sure to visit at least once.
