A cafe called “YAMATO CAFE Nishinomiya” opened late last year along Route 171 near Hankyu Mondo-Yakujin Station.
As the name “Tanba Tachikui” suggests, the main location is in Sanda City.
It’s a shop known for fluffy pancakes and tapioca drinks.
Nishitsu has visited before too↓
This time, we went back to take photos of the tapioca milk tea.

Exterior of Tanba Tachikui “YAMATO CAFE Nishinomiya”

It’s located along National Route 171.
It’s a little hard to spot, but it’s on the 3rd floor of the white building next to the Thai massage shop.

Here’s what the entrance to the building looks like.

There’s a sign out front.
Looks like you can enjoy lunch here as well as cafe items.
Let’s head up the stairs to the 3rd floor.

This is the entrance to the cafe.
Let’s go inside.
Inside Tanba Tachikui “YAMATO CAFE Nishinomiya”

The tables are arranged like this.

There are sofa seats toward the back too.
The interior has a calm, relaxing feel.
Menu at Tanba Tachikui “YAMATO CAFE Nishinomiya”

As you’d expect from a pancake shop, the pancake menu is seriously impressive.
They also have a great selection of tapioca drinks.
The lunch menu looks tasty too, but…
This time, we decided to order pancakes and a tapioca drink.
Food at Tanba Tachikui “YAMATO CAFE Nishinomiya”

Ta-da!!
First up is the “Blissful Plain Pancake” (890 yen).
You’ve got to start with plain, right?
It comes with three pancakes, plenty of whipped cream, and maple syrup.
And yes, this is one serving…
By the way, the plate is apparently Tanba-yaki pottery.
Very fitting for a shop whose main location is in Tanba.
Let’s dig in.

Here it is after pouring on the syrup. It doesn’t look that different, though.
As expected, they’re even fluffier than I imagined.
They’re souffle-style pancakes, and it seems like the batter is whipped very intensely.
We could hear a loud sound coming from the kitchen, so maybe they’re using an espuma or something similar.
I wondered if I’d be able to finish all three, but I ate them up easily.

And here’s what we came for: the “Tapioca Milk Tea” (520 yen).
This also comes with plenty of whipped cream.
They apparently offer takeout too.

One more shot with the cafe interior in the background!!
