Nishinomiya Shrine (Ebessan)

Gate opening hours
January 1: 12:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
January 2 and 3: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
January 4 to 8: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
About 100 food stalls will be set up
- Toso sake hospitality at the hall has been canceled
- Free sake service on the shrine grounds has been canceled
- Goshuin stamps will be offered as pre-written paper stamps
- The chozuya purification basin will be closed
In a typical year, about 500,000 people visit during the first three days of the New Year.
By the way, the Fukuotoko race on January 10 will return for the first time in three years. (Limited to the first 1,500 people: registration starts at 10:00 p.m. on January 9 on the west side of Enmanji Temple parking lot.)

Kannoji Temple

Members of the public may be able to ring the New Year’s Eve bell

For the New Year’s Eve bell, members of the 108-kai group will apparently begin ringing the Fifteenth Night bell from around 11:30 p.m. on December 31. If the number of rings is under 108, members of the public may also be able to ring the bell!
You can ring the bell during the New Year period.
On New Year’s Day, from after the Koyama Thanksgiving Festival until 4:00 p.m.; on January 2 & 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
