Sensei @ Nishitsu was also featured in the morning edition of the Kobe Shimbun dated March 21.
(Information provided by Iroha @ Nishitsu SP)
Here it is ↓
The article covers his attempt, the first in human history, to run 3,000 km across Peru and draw an alpaca with GPS.

Alpacas may look like that, but they are animals you could almost call superhuman, living in the Peruvian Andes at high altitudes where temperatures drop to minus 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. And of course, Sensei running there is superhuman too

The key to the success of this project is support. To raise funds for a local support car that would carry his belongings, Sensei worked as a part-time teacher at a certain elementary school and ran to work.
Sensei was also featured in the Mainichi Shimbun, and that article happened to be distributed in English,

which led to coverage by EFE, one of the world’s four major news agencies, and now by the Kobe Shimbun as well.
So, while he is in the middle of continuing to build a legend through this global-scale activity, a major difficulty came up right before departure.

At the end of the year, he purchased a car for the project. After the project ended, the plan was apparently to donate the car to a travel agency in Peru as a gesture of thanks. So Sensei sent the money for the car to Peru. Instead of a memorandum, he received a photo of a passport as identification, but after that, it seems he ran into the difficult situation of losing contact with the local collaborator.

Sensei himself says he feels this was “entirely due to my own lack of experience, naivety, and shortcomings, and now, with only two weeks left before departure, I need to turn my frustration and sadness into the strength to move forward.”
And while I was writing this article (around 6 p.m. on 3/24), Sensei updated his Facebook,

What!! What happened?!

Even someone as positive as Sensei @ Nishitsu is being hit by one problem after another right before departure
I don’t know. I think a lot of people know what it feels like when difficulties keep coming while you’re working really hard at something, and I want the mental strength to overcome that.
I’m pasting the message that was written there!
We are looking for someone local who can accompany him for about two weeks by support vehicle (their own car or a rental car) on the Lima▶︎Nazca (440 km) section🏃♂️🚙🇵🇪
※Of course, payment will be provided as work💵
If you think, “I might be able to introduce someone!”, we will send you the details🙇♂️Right now, we are asking people who have acquaintances in Peru to help us look.
If you know anyone in Peru and could help, we would be very grateful!!
You can send Sensei a message from here. He departs in four days, so he may not be able to respond by email. Sensei @ Nishitsu’s profile is here
He will depart on March 28.
Things Sensei @ Nishitsu finds in Peru that feel Nishinomiya-like, the first in Nishinomiya history, are also planned to become Nishitsu articles.
The project page for this first-in-human-history project from Nishinomiya is here. We would be happy if you could support him.
※Iroha @ Nishitsu SP, thank you for the information!!
