Mapo Noodle Lunch at 小皿中華 O-CHAI in Kikutani-cho Nishinomiya【Nishitsu Gourmet】

Introducing restaurants visited by Nishitsu’s gourmet writer in our “Nishitsu Gourmet” series.
This time, we went to

a Chinese restaurant
小皿中華 O-CHAI（オーチャイ）,
located about a 7-minute walk from Hankyu Kurakuenguchi Station (*’ω’ﾉﾉﾞ

▼Here’s what we had this time

★Mapo Noodle Lunch（1,500円）

This lunch set is really luxurious!

First up is the “assorted appetizers.”
It comes with boiled dumplings, nanohana greens, and “century egg,” said to be a treasure trove of nutrients.

Every appetizer is packed with nutrition!

The salad uses a carrot-based dressing, giving it a gentle flavor that makes it easy to eat ♪

Here’s the main dish, the “Mapo Noodles”!

Spicy!! Delicious!

The flavor was light, with thin noodles that had a nice chewy texture!

There was plenty of mapo soup too, making it really satisfying (*ˊᗜˋ*)

At the end, two kinds of dessert are served!

For one of them, you can choose between “almond tofu” or “coconut milk with tapioca.”

I asked for the “coconut milk with tapioca” ♪

The other one is “Anno sweet potato coconut dumpling”.

This was delicious too ♡

A sweet dessert after something spicy is just the best!

I want to go again!

Inside, there are 17 seats including the bar counter and tables, plus 4 terrace seats ( ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎ )
