Around 6:18 p.m., we received a tip from reader Hide-san saying that a band of light streamed from west to northeast over Nishinomiya.
Here it is↓

It was seen on a road just a little south of Route 43, somewhere between Fudabasuji Line and Shiyakusho-mae Line. Looking west.

Apparently, these eerie dots of light all moved upward at the same time while keeping the same spacing.

It seems this is also known as the “Galaxy Express 999 phenomenon,” and it was apparently Starlink satellites. They’re low Earth orbit satellites provided by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The internet connection ones.

しかも途中で消えたし、あまり信用してないけどUFOってやつ👀?? pic.twitter.com/3hJgp4nVRg— コタツ (@shuka_iizo) January 6, 2026
On January 4, 2026, 29 new Starlink satellites were launched together, and right after being placed into orbit, they’re still clustered together, which is why they look like this. Also, the satellites themselves aren’t glowing; they just appear bright because they’re reflecting sunlight.
※Hide-san, thank you for the tip!!
