The clock🕘 on the platform at Hankyu Imazu Station has been renewed.

It matches the color of the train～😊
Apparently, until recently there was a notice above the clock saying “Under Adjustment,” but now it has become a beautiful maroon-colored clock.

The address is 2-45 Tsutokureha-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.
We’ve been receiving reports since around last autumn that the clocks on Hankyu Railway platforms are being renewed～.
And the same clocks are appearing one after another at stations outside Nishinomiya City too↓

Apparently, the “maroon” in “maroon color” comes from the word for chestnut, “marron”🌰. Now that I think about it, that color really does look chestnut-like.
And “marron” is French～. By the way, in English it’s “chestnut.” Huh🤓
We Checked Other Stations Too
I got curious about what the clocks at other stations looked like, so on January 20 I went to check the clocks from Hankyu Imazu Station to Takarazuka Station🔍
From what I saw, there are three types of platform clocks～.
Type 1: White Face & Black Numbers
This might be the simplest one of the bunch. A lot of people are probably used to seeing this type.
There were 6 stations with this clock.
- Nishinomiya-kitaguchi Station
- Mondoyakujin Station
- Nigawa Station (platform)
- Obayashi Station
- Sakasegawa Station
- Takarazuka-minamiguchi Station
Type 2: Green Face & Yellow Numbers
Some people say the fluorescent-colored numbers are easy to see at night. JR stations seem to have used this type too.
There were 3 stations with this clock.
- Hanshin-kokudo Station (ticket gate)
- Nigawa Station (ticket gate)
- Takarazuka Station
At Nigawa Station, the platform and ticket gate have different clocks～. Here it is↓Can you see it?
Also, Hanshin-kokudo Station didn’t have a clock on the platform, only at the ticket gate. Maybe because the platform is narrow?
Type 3: Brown Face & Orange Numbers
Among the stations I checked, Kotoen Station was the only one with this clock～.
It’s the same type of clock as the green-and-yellow one, but this color might be pretty rare. Has anyone seen it at another station?
Finally
These days, it seems station platform clocks are often being removed. So it’s really nice that Hankyu Railway is replacing them with clocks using its signature color. It looks like more renewals will be coming, so if you have info like “This one got renewed too!”, please let us know～.
