Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens’ food court has a sundubu specialty restaurant called “OKKII（オッキー）,” whose main store is in Minoh.
“Sundubu” means tofu in Korean, but in this case it probably refers to “sundubu jjigae” (a hot pot dish with tofu).
In addition to various kinds of sundubu jjigae, they also seem to serve dishes like bibimbap.
This time, we visited “OKKII（オッキー） Nishinomiya Gardens” during lunchtime.

“OKKII（オッキー） Nishinomiya Gardens” Food
This time, I ordered the “Kuroge Wagyu Toro Toro Sundubu” (1,200 yen).
All sundubu dishes come with “kimchi,” “namul,” “raw egg,” “rice,” and “Korean seaweed.”
This is the “Kuroge Wagyu Toro Toro Sundubu.”
You can choose the spice level, and this time I went with “2-spicy.”
They say “2-spicy” is about standard, but it wasn’t all that hot.
Maybe they use Korean chili peppers, which tend to have a milder heat.
If you like spicy food, I think “3-spicy” would be the better choice.
The broth has chili peppers, stock (chicken, maybe?), and several spices in it (I’m not too familiar with Korean food, so I’m not completely sure…), and the umami from the beef adds a distinctive, delicious flavor.
It tastes even better when you put some rice on your spoon and eat it together with the sundubu jjigae.
Adding the raw egg partway through makes it even milder, so you can enjoy the change in flavor too.
