“Gion Tsubakian” on the 2nd floor of LaLaport Koshien is a restaurant operated by Kamakura Pasta, a specialty fresh pasta chain. In Nishinomiya, this is the only location like it (though there is a “Kamakura Pasta” in Imazu).
The restaurant serves a variety of Japanese-style fresh pasta dishes, and also offers good-value lunch menus.
This time, we visited “Gion Tsubakian LaLaport Koshien.”

The menu has so many options that it is hard to choose, but this time I ordered the “Sea Urchin and Salmon Roe Cream Pasta” (1,390 yen).
It looks luxurious at first glance.
The rich umami of the sea urchin and the saltiness of the salmon roe mixed beautifully with the chewy fresh pasta, creating a perfect harmony. The green onions and shredded nori also added a nice accent, and it was very delicious.
I also ordered the “Dessert Set” (+580 yen), which comes with the “salad of the day,” “pizza,” “drink,” and “dessert of the day.”
There were several kinds of pizza to choose from, and this time I chose the “Teriyaki Chicken Pizza.”
It was topped with soy sauce-flavored chicken, and the wonderfully savory aroma really whetted the appetite.
It was a delicious pizza that went very well with the fresh pasta.
For dessert, I had “Matcha Soft Serve Ice Cream,” and for the drink, I had “Hot Coffee.”
It was a very satisfying lunch with plenty of volume.
