It looks like this shop will handle SIMs from UQ Mobile, Y!mobile, and SoftBank. They seem to have several locations around Japan, and there was one at Kohnan in Amado, Amagasaki, too. Shops that cover multiple carriers are fairly uncommon, so they might be able to tell you about good-value SIM plans and such.
