At “Elberun,” which won an award at the “2019 Japan Cake Show Tokyo,” 
and 
went to eat cake. We also took home some delicious cookies.

The Cakes and Cookies We Tried
They had terrace seating, so we ordered inside and added drinks as a set for 200 yen !(^^)!
The shop’s most popular cake: lemon pie! It’s Elberun’s signature item, passed down from the previous generation!
You can taste the refreshing lemon within the sweetness, and the pie crust doesn’t overpower any of the creams. It was absolutely delicious（*^_^*）
The other one was a seasonal fruit tart.
The already-delicious fruits, like grapes and figs, blended with the tart crust to make it even tastier (*^_^*)
And the cookies we took home were a set of 20.
We opened the cookies and lined them up…..(#^.^#) Ahh, they all look so good!!
My favorite is the one with white chocolate sandwiched inside !(^^)!

Final Thoughts
This month, the shop was full of cute Halloween decorations.
They still had so many kinds of cakes and cookies, and I want to try them all! The shop’s signature lemon pie and the Elberun cookies named after the shop (these are the cookies I like!) are Nishinomiya specialties, if you ask me (*^。^*)
