It looks like a special Hanshin Tigers 90th anniversary wrapped Hanshin Railway train was spotted at the Amagasaki depot.

Here it is ↓

A wrapping train celebrating the Hanshin Tigers’ 90th anniversary. This exciting design is apparently starting service today, 3/5. There’s only one car, so it’s pretty rare.

There’s also the recently retired Blue-bodied train. According to Twilight, a Nishitsu reader, it’s Jet Car 5028, and it seems it has been decided that it will be preserved.

Oh! Is that a Hankyu train visible in the back? According to Twilight, it’s a car that Hankyu Railway requested to be modified for Nose Electric Railway.
The Red-bodied trains seem to be making a comeback
This comes as a surprise ahead of Hanshin Electric Railway’s 120th anniversary on April 12, 2025.

The Red-bodied trains on the Mukogawa Line were retired in June 2020 and disappeared entirely, but apparently many fans had been asking for their return.

This 8000 series express train

will end up looking like this!! Starting in late May 2025, all 19 trainsets will apparently be changed into these Red-bodied trains over the course of 3 to 4 years.
Finally
First the Hanshin Tigers wrapping train, and now the unexpected return of the Red-bodied trains. Hanshin Railway’s surprises are really something. It feels like they may still have more interesting things in store, so we’ll write about it if we find out anything new.
※Thank you to Twilight, Kazunoko Taro, Kagayaki, HiroN, and Takuma for the information!!
