There’s a tonkatsu restaurant called “葉音” very close to Hankyu Shukugawa Station.
The name is read “Haato.”
It’s a long-loved local spot, and I’ve been a big fan of their tonkatsu for years.
This time, I’d like to introduce the tonkatsu at this restaurant.

“葉音（Haato）” Food
If you want to fully enjoy how good tonkatsu can be, loin is definitely the way to go.
So I ordered the “Rosu Katsu Zen” (loin cutlet set meal) for 1,500 yen.
It looks delicious every time…
The tonkatsu has a thin coating and is fried nice and crisp.
The sweetness of the pork fat goes really well with the restaurant’s special sauce.
Squeezing lemon over it gives it a refreshing, different flavor too.
The small side dish was “sunomono” (vinegared dish).
Rice refills are free.
I’ve been gaining a little weight lately, so I held back, but if I really wanted to, I think I could easily eat three bowls of rice.
The lunch menu comes with dessert and coffee.
The dessert was “ice cream.”
For coffee, you can choose iced or hot.
It had been a while since I last had tonkatsu here, but it was just as delicious as ever.

Besides tonkatsu, it looks like they also serve chicken katsu and shrimp katsu.
They have à la carte dishes too.
