Near Harukaze Park in Koshien Harukaze-cho, there is a takeout specialty shop called “はるかぜキッチン” (Harukaze Kitchen).
Their menu mainly features fried items, including healthy croquettes made with sakura meat. Everything is fried after you order, so you can enjoy it freshly made.
This time, I bought some items from “はるかぜキッチン.”

“はるかぜキッチン” Food
From the menu, I ordered the “鶏のから揚げ” (fried chicken) for 300 yen and their most popular item, the “さくらコロッケ” (sakura croquette), for 65 yen.
They also have a “ごはんパック” (rice pack) for 180 yen, so I decided to take one home as well.
Now, let’s open it up!
Here are the “鶏のから揚げ” and “さくらコロッケ.”
This is the “ごはんパック.”
First, the rice.
I rode my bicycle for more than 30 minutes to bring it home, but it was still warm.
The container must have good heat retention.
There was a pretty generous amount, too.
Each pack is 230 grams, so that’s about 0.7 go of rice.
The “鶏のから揚げ” comes with 5 pieces.
It had a good, strong soy sauce flavor and was delicious.
Of course it goes well with rice, but it would probably be great with beer too.
The “さくらコロッケ” is wrapped in paper, so you can eat it by hand as is.
It’s well seasoned, so it’s fine even without sauce.
The sweetness of the potatoes really came through in this croquette.
