The galette specialty shop “Creperie Repos,” which we introduced before, has also started offering takeout.
Cider, an apple-based alcoholic drink, is the classic pairing with galettes, and here, even cider is available for takeout.
Since we had the chance, we picked up a galette and cider to enjoy a little drink at home.

“Creperie Repos” Food
You can take out galettes in packaging like this.

This time, we bought the “Tomato Complète” (1,150 yen).
“Complète” is the most classic galette menu item, made with ingredients such as ham, egg, and cheese.
This “Tomato Complète” also includes tomato.
It was a very tasty galette, bringing together the crisp galette, the saltiness of the ham, the richness of the cheese, and the mellowness of the soft-cooked egg.
This is “SASSY Cidre 330ml” (748 yen).
Cider is the classic pairing with galettes, and apparently that’s because regions where buckwheat is grown often also grow apples.
“SASSY” is a maker from France, the home of cider, and sales have recently started in Japan as well.
Since it’s a fruit wine, it does have some sweetness, of course, but it was a refreshing drink (according to the shop staff, it is on the drier side among ciders).
With an authentic galette and authentic cider, you can enjoy a little taste of southern France right at home.
