Looking for “unagi~ unagi~,” we stopped by on opening day~
The Food at “山重”

Grilled eel liver sauce or salt \880
I wanted to really taste the liver, so I ordered it with salt~Makes you want a drink~

Umaki 1,100

The eel is nicely soaked in sauce, and the egg has a rich dashi flavor~
It’s gentle in taste, but the flavor of the eel still comes through clearly😀

U-zaku \990
The combination of crisp vinegared cucumber and fluffy eel feels fresh~

Hitsumabushi Hinoki (1 whole eel) soup, pickles, dashi for ochazuke, condiments ¥5,280

First, enjoy it as unaju with kabayaki eel~
The skin is crisp, while the meat is plump and fluffy~
The sauce isn’t too sweet, and while it has depth, it finishes cleanly.

Next, add these condiments.
Personally, I liked how the wasabi added an accent, giving the unaju a more grown-up flavor.

Finally, pour in the dashi and enjoy it as warm ochazuke♪
Even if you’re starting to feel full, it goes down easily once you make it into ochazuke~
