We’ve been casually discussing a collaboration between Baycom and Nishitsu, thinking that by working together we might be able to deliver useful information to even more people.
This time, we decided to pick out some recommended shops from the ones previously featured on Nishitsu and introduce them on a Baycom program.
The shop Nishitsu introduced to Baycom is “GOOD GOOD MEAT” in Kurakuen.
Baycom and a Nishitsu writer are planning to visit the shop and film on location.
We’ll introduce that shoot in another article later, but before that, we’d like to feature the shop once again here on Nishitsu.

Exterior of “GOOD GOOD MEAT”

This is what the shop looks like from the outside.
At first glance, it looks like a butcher shop, but it also operates as a restaurant.

There are also signs showing the dishes.

There are terrace seats outside the shop.
Inside “GOOD GOOD MEAT”

When you enter the shop, you’ll see this kind of information displayed.
You can buy meat and prepared dishes just like at a regular butcher shop, and you can also use it as a restaurant.

This is what the inside looks like.
There are table seats and counter seats.

They also have a variety of drinks that pair well with meat.

The large refrigerators are packed with meat.

In the butcher section, the meat is displayed like this.
When you order steak at the restaurant, the system is that you choose the meat you like from here and have them cook it for you.
“GOOD GOOD MEAT” Menu

This is the menu.
In addition to various steaks and hamburg steaks, they also have a great selection of appetizers and à la carte dishes.
This time, we ordered the “Assorted Four Appetizers” (1,200 yen) and the “Aso Grass-Fed Wagyu Akaushi Steak.”
“GOOD GOOD MEAT” Food
When you order steak, you choose the meat you like from the refrigerator inside the shop or from the display case in the butcher section.
This time, we chose “Aso Grass-Fed Wagyu Akaushi Misuji” (1,600 yen per 100g + 1,000 yen cooking fee).
At this shop, they bring the meat back to room temperature before grilling it, so it takes a little time.
While looking forward to the steak being cooked, let’s enjoy the appetizers.

This is the “Assorted Four Appetizers” (1,200 yen).
The four items are “roast beef salad,” “marinated vegetables,” “onion pudding,” and “mashed potatoes.”
There is minced meat mixed into the mashed potatoes, and that meat is also from this shop.
The mashed potatoes had a very luxurious flavor.
The roast beef is also one of the shop’s recommended dishes.
You can order the roast beef on its own, but if you just want to try a little, I think having it as part of the appetizer is a good choice.
Of course the meat itself was delicious, but the cooking and seasoning were also perfect. It was truly excellent roast beef.

Now, the steak is ready!
What a beautiful color…
As you can see, the meat handled at this shop is known for its lean red meat.
In Japan, premium beef is generally associated with marbling, but here you can really enjoy delicious lean meat.
Unlike marbled beef that seems to melt in your mouth, this has a satisfying bite (though it is still very tender lean meat), and the more you chew, the more the savory flavor of the meat spreads through your mouth.
Of course, since it has less fat and more protein, it’s healthier, and you can eat plenty of it.
This steak is served with only salt and pepper, but it is the kind of meat that truly makes you feel sauce is unnecessary.
It’s definitely a shop we can confidently recommend to Baycom!
