髙山堂 will apparently be selling “Hichigiri” for a limited time for Hinamatsuri.

It feels so spring-like.The green part looks like mochi, and the pink part looks like nerikiri. Pretty unusual
The price is 411 yen (tax included). It’s only available today. Since quantities are limited, sales will end once they sell out. Best consumed by the next day
Hichigiri (引千切) is apparently a traditional fresh wagashi made by placing spring-colored nerikiri on top of mochi torn by hand.
In Closing
When you think of Hinamatsuri, sakura mochi usually comes to mind, but Hinamatsuri is also known as “Momo no Sekku,” a day to wish for girls’ healthy growth. Celebrating with traditional Japanese sweets might be a nice idea too. By the way, 髙山堂 Nishinomiya Main Store is normally closed on Tuesdays, but they’re specially open for regular business today.
