The “Joint Music Concert” was a school event held every July at Amity Hall, with fourth-grade students from all 42 schools in the city taking part.
Why Is It Being Discontinued?
- To secure enough class hours
- Heatstroke prevention
- Scheduling and curriculum planning considerations at each school
It seems they also considered moving it to June, but there apparently wouldn’t be enough time for practice.
Finally
Since this music concert continued for 70 years, this will likely be sad news for those who spent their elementary school years in Nishinomiya. Perhaps it’s just a sign of the times.
