The first “Karaage Koshien,” which we had also announced on Nishitsu, was successfully held on February 29, despite concerns about the impact of the novel coronavirus.
We’d like to share what the event was like.

This is the venue, “Hyogo College of Nutrition, Cooking and Confectionery.”

Karaage shops from around the city gathered and set up booths.
It looks like the event was lively with lots of visitors.

Here are the shops that had booths.
I tried a few of them myself.

This is “Shio Karaage” from “TORIKARA STAND.”
Juicy and really delicious…

And of course, that means this too…

There were also items other than karaage.
This is “Kaki Fry” from “Ebisu Maru.”

Spending a Sunday afternoon like this made for a very happy little moment.
The results of the online voting were also announced, and awards were presented.
Here are the results↓

Some of the shops are well known, while others were names I was hearing for the first time.
I’d definitely like to try visiting every single one.
Congratulations to all the shops that won the Gold Awards!
“Karaage Koshien” is apparently planned to be held again next year, so I’d definitely like to take part again.
