The hugely popular anime “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” features many scenes of Nishinomiya cityscapes.
This project is packed with exciting features for fans, including a digital stamp rally around the city, decorated trains on the Mukogawa Line and commemorative platform ticket sales, a scene still exhibition at the Koshien History Museum, and even an event at Koshien Stadium! 😂
Billed as an event for thoroughly enjoying Nishinomiya, this project should be fun not only for Haruhi fans, but also for Nishitsu readers who love Nishinomiya!

2. Mystery Map AR / Sacred Site Pilgrimage Map AR
When you visit spots shown on the map inside the app downloaded in 1., scene stills and other content will appear in AR (augmented reality), and you can enjoy taking photos with your camera. This is a feature that only people who actually visit the locations can enjoy. Perfect for location-hopping!
3. Wrap the Akado Train
Using the framed photo feature in the app downloaded in 1., you can decorate the Akado Train displayed at “Akado-sha no Aru Hiroba” inside UR Urban Renaissance Agency’s Mukogawa Danchi.

4. Special Decorations on Hanshin Railway Mukogawa Line Trains
During the event period, trains running on the Mukogawa Line in Nishinomiya will feature special decorations. It looks like all four train sets running on the Mukogawa Line will operate with different designs. The operation schedule will be posted on the Hanshin Railway website.

5. “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” Scene Still Exhibition
About 20 scene stills from “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” will be displayed inside the Koshien History Museum.

One bus operating on the Hanshin Bus “Nishinomiya Yamate Line / Jurinji Line” will receive wrapping decorations. Posters featuring “Haruhi Suzumiya” illustrations will also be displayed inside the bus.

1. Collaboration Game Between the Hanshin Tigers and the TV Anime “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”
The game will be livened up with a first pitch ceremony by Minori Chihara, the voice of Yuki Nagato from “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,” as well as a message from Aya Hirano, the voice of Haruhi Suzumiya. In addition, novelty goods featuring newly drawn event visuals by illustrator Noizi Ito are scheduled to be distributed.

It seems that 100 people will be invited by lottery to a talk event where Minori Chihara, the voice of Yuki Nagato from “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,” planning producer Atsushi Ito, and music producer Shigeru Saito will talk in depth about episodes from the TV anime “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.”
