Near Route 171, a little south of the Hankyu Railway line in Jogaboricho, there’s a karaage specialty shop called “TORIKARA STAND（トリカラスタンド）”.
It’s a well-known shop that has won many awards, including the “Karaage Grand Prix,” the “Karaage Bento Grand Prix Gold Prize,” and the “Karaage Koshien Gold Prize.”
This time, we got some karaage from “TORIKARA STAND（トリカラスタンド）” to go.

“TORIKARA STAND（トリカラスタンド）” Food
This time we bought three items: “Yasashii Karaage (chicken breast) Normal” (620 yen), “Easy-to-eat Tulip” (200 yen each), and “Fried Yagen Nankotsu Mini” (380 yen).

Fried chicken breast often tends to turn out dry, but this karaage was crispy on the outside while the meat stayed moist.
There must be some secret in the coating or the way it’s fried.
The yagen nankotsu is fried together with the meat around the cartilage, so you can enjoy both the crunchy texture of the cartilage and the delicious flavor of the meat.
The tulip (chicken drumette) was different from the breast meat and cartilage, with juicy fat, and because it’s on the bone, you can also enjoy the rich flavor from the bone.
And of course, when you think of karaage, you think of beer, but this time I went with this instead.
“Suntory Strong Zero Double Lemon.”
I chose it for the simple reason that lemon seemed like it would go well with karaage.
It was a slightly sweet drink, but it seemed to pair pretty well with the karaage too (though that probably depends on your taste).
