After hearing rumors that “there’s a ramen shop spicy-food lovers can’t resist!”, I went to try the “Karamen (30-spice level!)” at Karamenya “En”, located next to Kwansei Gakuin University!

The Food at Karamenya “En”

This is the “Karamen” I ordered this time, priced at 700 yen.
As someone who loves super-spicy food, I took on the challenge at “30-spice level” (+300 yen)!
For the noodles, I chose “konnyaku noodles”! You can also choose from options like “Hakata noodles” and “egg noodles,” which makes it fun!

The soup is such a vivid chili-pepper red that it makes you wonder, “Is this going to be painfully spicy!?”
Apparently, this special soup is made by blending four to five kinds of chili peppers.
Within the heat, the sweetness and umami come through beautifully, and it pairs perfectly with the konnyaku noodles!✨

Fluffy egg fills the bowl, almost covering the entire surface.
This also goes incredibly well with the spicy, savory soup and noodles!

It was so good that I finished the whole bowl while sweating!!
It warms you right up too! This is the perfect dish for the chilly season ahead♪
Karamenya “En” Menu

You can choose from three bases: “Karamen,” “Tomato Karamen,” and “Miso Karamen.”

The most important part is this: the “spice level.”
Since you can also choose spice level 0 (no spice), families apparently often visit on weekends too♪
As a super-spicy food lover, I’m really curious about 100-spice level and 350-spice level…!(゜□゜)
Inside Karamenya “En”

The clean, neat interior has counter seats, and there are also table seats in the back.

There are two tables for four, so families can enjoy it while chatting about how spicy it is!✨♪

Kyuso Nekokami, a rock band whose members graduated from Kwansei Gakuin University’s light music club, also left a message saying “Umapirasu!!!”♪
Exterior of Karamenya “En”

It’s right next to Kwansei Gakuin University, and the yellow sign is the landmark.

There’s a spicy-looking sign in front of the shop!
