Pasta Lunch at RYU-RYU in Minami-Koshikiiwacho near Kurakuen-guchi | Nishitsu Gourmet

Introducing a place visited by Nishitsu’s food writer for our Nishitsu Gourmet series.
This time, we went to

the pasta restaurant “RYU-RYU”, about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Kurakuenguchi Station✨

RYU-RYU is a chain restaurant with locations in Kurakuenguchi, Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi, and Naruo.

This time, we visited the Kurakuenguchi location, which is close to our office❗️

The interior has a stylish atmosphere, and more and more customers kept coming in. By the time Mii left, there were even people waiting in line😊

We visited around noon, and the table seats were already full, though there were seats open at the counter.

A pasta specialty restaurant loved by pasta fans!

There are lots of pasta options on the menu, and they also have a wide variety of rice dishes like butter rice✨

After much deliberation…
I went with the daily “Pasta Lunch A”☺️✨

First up was the salad❗️
The red and yellow bell peppers add a nice pop of color to the salad😆

The refreshing homemade black sesame dressing made the salad really delicious❤️

Next came the bread.

Two piping-hot pieces: a baguette and focaccia.

They’re tasty as-is, but with butter they become wonderfully mellow and even more delicious☺️✨

And then, the main dish this time: “Meat Sauce Pasta with Potatoes and Cabbage”

It had plenty of bite-sized chunks of potato, and the sweet cabbage mixed with the meat sauce was so good❤️

The pasta noodles had a nice chewy texture too, and I left completely full🎵

RYU-RYU is about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Kurakuenguchi Station.

Inside, all kinds of people, from women and men to older customers, were enjoying lunch✨

With a tasty salad and bread included, being able to enjoy this for 980 yen feels like pretty good value❗️
