It’s kashiwa mochi season(^^)v
This article is brought to you by “GenkiStyle,” a foot treatment clinic that supports Nishitsu.
Here’s the kashiwa mochi we wrote about the other day↓

Kashiwa mochi is wrapped in a leaf, right?
That leaf is from the “kashiwa” oak tree(^^)v

In spring, around the time the flowers bloom, the leaves look like this: a yellow-green color.

By the time summer approaches, they grow this impressively(^^)v

This is what it looks like when you look up〜(^ ^)
To put it simply, kashiwa seems to be a kind of acorn-bearing tree! I wonder if it bears fruit in autumn? I’m kind of looking forward to it!
Because the withered leaves stay on the tree until early spring and pass the baton to the new buds, the mochi is wrapped in these leaves with hopes for family prosperity and an unbroken line of descendants(*^^*)
The place where we found this tree was…

Ebessan!
Here’s the location↓
At Ebessan,

It was on the left after entering through this gate!
If you go to pray at Ebessan, this might make a nice little conversation topic(^^)v
