Tried the Special Chicken Nanban Lunch at Yokubari Shokudo in Hanshin Nishinomiya! [Nishitsu Gourmet]

This time, we went to

“Yokubari Shokudo”, about a 3-minute walk from Hanshin Nishinomiya Station✨

Yokubari Shokudo is a casual diner along National Route 2, known for its chicken nanban😆

The interior has a calm feel, with exactly the kind of atmosphere you’d expect from a Japanese set-meal restaurant✨

A Yokubari Lunch That Really Fills You Up!

Besides their famous chicken nanban, they also have pasta and a Friday-only chicken curry, which sounds tempting😊

I was torn about getting the chicken nanban, but ended up choosing the Yokubari Lunch (980 yen including tax)❗️
(The Yokubari Lunch is a new menu item and isn’t listed on the menu shown above.)

Now, let’s dig in👏

First up is this consommé soup❗️

The pepper gives it a nice kick, and it’s the kind of comforting flavor that makes you relax❤️

The main Yokubari Lunch looks like this😆✨

It comes with chicken nanban, roast beef, salad, spring rolls, and soup: truly a “yokubari” lunch, packed with a little bit of everything✨

The salad has sesame dressing and sea chicken, making it easy to enjoy even for people who aren’t usually big fans of salad🎵

The spring roll has a crisp, fragrant wrapper, with eggplant and cheese inside🎵

The bite-sized cubes of roast beef are thick, slightly sweet, and delicious❤️

And then, the famous chicken nanban☺️✨

The chicken is incredibly tender and juicy❤️

There are two sauces: yuzu kosho and tartar sauce…

The tartar sauce is wonderfully creamy✨

The yuzu kosho has a refreshing yuzu aroma that makes it even more appetizing✨

It’s great that you can enjoy it with different flavors🎵

The rice is a regular portion, and I happily ate it together with the roast beef and chicken nanban☺️❗️

The Yokubari Lunch is pretty generous in volume, and I think most women would be full after this😆🎵

The Yokubari Lunch I had this time was very filling, and at 980 yen including tax, I’d say it offers good value❗️
