I got takeout from “ラーメン荘 これが好きだから,” located about a 5-minute walk from JR Nishinomiya Station.

Ta-da. The “Omiyage Buta Ramen” is 1,100 yen tax included, and this is what comes in one serving〜.
Noodles 300g, bean sprouts, soup, 2 slices of pork × 2, fat, garlic, and instructions〜.
The standard “Omiyage Ramen” comes with 2 slices of pork.

It was pretty heavy, so I weighed it↓

One serving is 1.1kg…! I bought two servings of the same thing, so that’s 2.2kg total. No wonder it felt heavy.
My kitchen scale gave an error, so please excuse the bathroom scale…
If you’re buying enough for a family of four, go prepared for the weight. haha
Now let’s check how to make it↓

Got it. Boil water in a pot〜
Soup 10 minutes, pork 3 minutes, vegetables 3 minutes…

Uh, how many timers do I need?
I panicked a bit, but somehow got through it with a kitchen timer and Alexa. Phew.

Dump in the vegetables.

The small saucepan on the left is already packed full. Is this going to work?
Drain the vegetables in a strainer, then boil the noodles in the remaining water.

Whaaaat! The noodles are totally sticking out. Oh no, oh no. Total panic.

It was time to take the soup out, so I moved everything into a bigger pot. Phew.
For anyone making this, if you don’t have two large pots, make it one serving at a time. If you cut corners like I did, you’ll end up sweating buckets.
Ramen shops really have it tough. I have nothing but respect. Thank you as always.

A double strainer on top of the vegetable strainer. Is this right?

Here goes〜.
Now just plate it up〜.

Add the fat on top at the end, and it’s done〜. Yay, yay.

Ta-da〜. The smell of garlic is so appetizing〜.
Another warning here: there’s a lot, so you’ll need a big ramen bowl.

It’s a seriously huge portion. Maybe I should’ve gone with the regular “Ramen” instead of getting greedy with the “Buta Ramen”…

The rich soy sauce soup coats the chewy noodles perfectly. The chashu is super tender〜.
The garlic aroma kept pulling me in, and I almost ate past my limit… It was a lot of work to make ← really just because I was bad at handling it, but it was worth it〜.

This was on a weekday, but look at that line. Apparently, you don’t need to line up for takeout.
I bought a meal ticket, waited outside for about 1 minute, and got it.
