If you play mahjong, that might ring a bell~

In mahjong, the honor tiles are east, south, west, north (ton-nan-sha-pei), and the “west” and “north” tiles are read as “sha-pei,” so I’m guessing that is why they say “Sha-pe”~(^o^)
Maybe “Sha-pe” will catch on from now on!?
Various Comments
A simple abbreviation of “Nishinomiya-kitaguchi”…
40s
I used to call it Kitaguchi, but more and more people mistook it for Tsukaguchi.

Kitaguchi no eki, meaning “Kitaguchi Station” (I call the area around the station Kitaguchi, so I add “station” to distinguish it)

Sha-pe

Shan-pe

It has always been Kitaguchi. I think young people started saying Nishikita after the earthquake.
60 and above
I have called it that for as long as I can remember.
40s
Sometimes I say *Kitaguchi*, but I usually shorten Nishinomiya-kitaguchi to *Nishikita*. I think I have said it since I was a kid.
40s

Natives say Kitaguchi, while newcomers probably say Nishikita.
50s
Because it is the farthest north.
60 and above
I was originally from Takarazuka, and when I went from Takarazuka Station to Kobe or Osaka via the Imazu Line, I used it as a transfer station. I think I probably said I was going via Kitaguchi.
60 and above
I had called it that long before I moved to Nishinomiya 10 years ago.
40s
It has been Kitaguchi since long ago. Nishikita is Hankyu’s strategy. It feels strange to me.
60 and above
Because that is what I have always called it. Maybe people who have lived locally since the Showa era are more likely to be in the Kitaguchi camp?
20s
Because my friends around me have always said Nishikita.
30s
I have called it Kitaguchi since long ago.
60 and above
Long ago, it was Kitaguchi.
60 and above
It is located farthest north among all Nishinomiya stations (Hanshin, JR).
60 and above
Because Nishikita works for everyone, young and old, men and women! It is the only abbreviation my parents and grandparents do not get mad at me for using lol
