“Sobayashi,” which opened in Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi on August 15. If you live nearby, many of you may have already been there.
We at @Nishi2 finally broke out of our takeout routine for the first time in a while and stopped by during lunchtime.
This article is brought to you by “Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Dental and Oral Surgery, open year-round,” a dental clinic that supports Nishi2.

The Food at “Sobayashi”
Chicken and Mushroom Dipping Soba \1,210

The chicken tsukune meatballs are tender, and when you add black shichimi spice to the sweet-savory broth, the flavor tightens up and you just keep reaching for more.

The black shichimi that Mama raved about is from Hararyokaku, which has its main shop in Kyoto.
Tempura Soba \1,595

The soba is light in color with a gentle aroma. It’s thin, but has a nice firmness and goes down smoothly.

The tempura assortment came with two shrimp, eggplant, sweet potato, onion, and more.
The vegetables were cut nice and thick, and fried crisp.
The orange tempura in the upper right looked like pumpkin, but when I tried it, it wasn’t pumpkin.
I think it was probably persimmon.

I’d been wanting to go ever since they opened in August, so I was really happy to finally stop by (^o^)
Since the name includes “soba and sake,” I’d definitely like to visit at night too. I’m sure they must have a separate evening menu

Here’s the “Basil Soba” that Hi-chan from Nishi2 tried.

This is the “Basil Soba” 1320 yen including tax, listed under the “creative soba” category.
At first glance, it looks completely like chilled pasta. The surprise is that basil is kneaded right into the soba noodles. It’s topped with prosciutto, watercress, and tomato.

Can you tell?? It’s soba, but there’s basil inside. The moment you put it in your mouth, the aroma of basil spreads, and the more you chew, the more the soba flavor comes through.
Such a new sensation~♡ Maybe because it’s soba, it even feels kind of healthy. Haha.

Inside “Soba and Sake Sobayashi”

The second floor has two tables and counter seating. The interior feels like a renovated standalone house, and it’s very relaxing.
There was also a room on the second floor where they make the soba.
On the first floor, a long table was placed right in the center.
