It looks like it opened in the summer of 2017. I heard they have limited lunch specials, so I was curious and went to check it out.
Food at 鮨・酒・肴 杉玉
Limited to 20 servings: Sugidama Gozen 1,280 yen
5 pieces of chef’s-choice nigiri / assorted sashimi / assorted tempura / chawanmushi / 3 small side dishes / soup
It’s absolutely packed with food.
The chawanmushi that came out later had sushi toppings like shrimp, anago, and scallop inside, and it had such a smooth texture that it felt really comforting.
Limited to 10 servings: Funamori-don 990 yen
This looks like it would be great either as a sashimi set meal or turned into a hearty seafood rice bowl.
There was so much sashimi on top, it was really exciting.
The rice is already seasoned, so just a little soy sauce is enough.
With this much sashimi for 990 yen, I think it’s an amazing deal.
Lunch starts at 11:30, and there were already several customers lined up before opening.
If you’re aiming for the Sugidama Gozen, limited to 20 servings, or the Funamori-don, limited to 10 servings, it may be best to arrive early.

There’s an impressive sugidama hanging inside the restaurant.
A sugidama is a sign that says, “New sake is ready.” Many people have probably seen one hanging at a sake brewery.
