I visited Komeiken (光明軒), a ramen shop near JR Nishinomiya Station that’s open only at night.

This is the “Chuka Soba” for 550 yen (tax included). So cheap. It comes served with chopsticks and a ramen spoon already resting on top.

Despite its rich-looking appearance, it’s actually a light soy sauce broth〜♡ It has a deep, satisfying flavor that really warms you up.

The noodles are old-school egg noodles. They have a wonderfully nostalgic feel.

The chashu pork isn’t too heavy either, so even women can easily finish a whole bowl.
Komeiken’s Menu

Amazingly, the menu has only two items: “Chuka Soba” and “Rice”. There’s no alcohol or even juice. So simple.
Area Around Komeiken

The noren curtain clearly says “Ramen.”
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 7-3 Nishifuku-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.

Across the street is “Takoyaki Yashiroya.”

If you go this way, you’ll reach JR Nishinomiya Station. There’s also FamilyMart JR Nishinomiya Station North Exit store and Janbo Sohonten JR Nishinomiya Ekimae store.

If you go the other way, you’ll head toward Yamate Kansen. You’ll find harima and #愛す。 nearby.

Final Thoughts
Komeiken was also mentioned in responses to our “What’s your favorite ramen in Nishinomiya?” survey. It’s amazing that you can eat ramen for just 550 yen. Since it’s open late, it’s perfect as a final bowl after drinks. Sometimes you just suddenly crave that old-school “Chuka Soba,” don’t you〜♡
