Daiei Nishinomiya, which reopened on April 23, has a shop called “さかな屋 六鮮” in its 1st-floor food court, so we went to check it out.
Rokusen is a sushi restaurant known for fresh, reasonably priced seafood, with its main shop located right below Tsutenkaku in Osaka.
The Food at “さかな屋 六鮮”
Gokai Kaisen-don 1,300 yen (1,430 yen including tax)
It looks gorgeous, with a shrimp sitting boldly right in the middle. It really lives up to the name “gokai” (hearty and generous).
This Gokai Kaisen-don comes topped with 10 kinds of seafood!! So luxurious
Here are the 10 kinds of seafood↓↓
Tuna, sea bream, salmon, boiled shrimp, vinegared mackerel, eel, scallop, shredded crab meat, whole shrimp with head, and seasonal wild-caught fish (listed on the menu as torigai; may change depending on availability)

The plump, springy shrimp has such a firm texture.
Everything was fresh enough that you’d want to eat it as sashimi, and it was really satisfying. But it also paired perfectly with the slightly sweet vinegared rice!!
Before eating, I thought maybe a smaller portion of rice would have been fine, but once I started, the sushi rice was so good that choosing the regular size was definitely the right call!
For the rice in the bowl, you can choose from small, regular, or large.
