Rakuten Group, Inc. held a class at Mukogawa Women’s University on practical EC sales promotion for Hyogo products, under the theme “Sharing Hyogo’s Stories Through EC”.
“Sharing Hyogo’s Stories Through EC” is the theme of this nine-part class, held as a joint initiative by Hyogo Prefecture, Mukogawa Women’s University, Zootie Co., Ltd., and Rakuten. Around 90 students from the Department of Food Sciences and Nutrition, School of Food Sciences and Nutrition, are taking part.(And apparently, this class doesn’t even count for credit! Their motivation is seriously impressive〜😂)

The product they’re working with is “Negi no Chikara”, made by Mirai Co., Ltd. in Asago City, Hyogo Prefecture. The product was developed with cooperation from Professor Matsuura’s laboratory in the same department〜.

The students will come up with plans for how to promote and sell it through Hyogo Prefecture’s official antenna shop on “Rakuten Ichiba”, “Hyogo Mania: Traveling Through Hyogo”, and will actually take it all the way to sales〜! That sounds so fun!!😍

Group work in progress〜✏️ What are this product’s strengths and weaknesses? What opportunities and threats might there be? Everyone shares all kinds of ideas. The opinions just keep coming〜😆
・Does it leave a weak impression on people who don’t cook?
・It provides vitamin C, which the human body cannot produce
・Because it comes in powdered sticks, it’s easy to use in cooking and more

After the workshop, they share their ideas with everyone. Some groups had so many ideas they were practically spilling off the paper〜😆 They’ll build on today’s ideas, create plans, and connect them to future sales. We’re excited to see how it develops〜!

Final Thoughts
It was a chance to once again realize what an interesting school Mukogawa Women’s University is, with all the different things it does toward revitalizing the local community〜😊 With the students’ perspectives and fresh ideas, what kind of product page will they create, and what words will they use to sell it?♪ Sales on “Hyogo Mania: Traveling Through Hyogo” are scheduled to begin around September. Now then, let’s look forward to seeing how it turns out〜💛
