Furuno Electric let us take a look inside its head office, which was renovated on March 10🙌
Players from the Storks were also there for the “2021-22 Season Storks Appreciation Event”😊
Here it is, the familiar Furuno Electric head office!
When we visited the new building last time, it was an office where you just knew “products that could change the world” were going to be born!! But this place is even more amazing!!
What’s it like inside~🙄?
Whoa! Such a chic and stylish space~✨ What kind of salon is this~🙄?
After entering this entrance, turn right around~👉
Ta-da~~~~~!
Whaaat~!? Is this some kind of laboratory?
It feels like we came on a school field trip!
This is the “first-generation fish finder” we also saw when we visited the new building last time~!
A section where a touch panel teaches you about Furuno Electric’s main lines of work.
This is not a copy machine~!
It’s an “automated biochemical analyzer,” a device that centrifuges blood and checks all kinds of things~
They cover the medical field too😳
Is this a honeycomb? A microphone?? What is this amazing machine that I can’t even identify??
It detects objects from all directions using sound waves~
Each one of these chip-like parts apparently has to be incredibly precise, with absolutely no room for error.
They said they’ll keep adding parts to the areas with holes, and by sometime this year (?) all the holes are expected to be filled👏
There was also a panel with more details about sonar↓
It looks like a command room from a movie!
Apparently this is installed on fishing boats. So cutting-edge😳!! It completely changes your image of fishing boats~!
What’s this section with something like a wind turbine spinning up above?
It’s a setup for operating a small boat!
This spot alone has a luxury cruiser vibe~✨ Though it doesn’t suit me at all…😅
The monitor looks like an app, and it’s operated by touch panel. So modern~👍
They can also install things like fish finders here too~🙆♀️
The hand-drawn look gives it a nice feel, but the content is global in scale.
They also gave us a detailed explanation about satellites, and just by going once around this showroom, we really got a sense that “Furuno Electric is a company from Nishinomiya spreading its wings across the world”~!
Whaaaat~~~~!! Really? We’d love to do a tour~👏

And on the day we visited, the “2021-22 Season Storks Appreciation Event” was being held~!
The players who appeared at the event were, from the right, No. 10: Shota Watanabe player, No. 9: Naoki Tani player, No. 14: Mao Fukuda player. And Matthias Fischer, head coach.
Watanabe player greeted everyone by saying, “I got to try fishing on a boat equipped with a Furuno fish finder, but I didn’t catch a single fish~. Next season, I’ll do my best at both basketball and fishing!” He has such a playful side too, which was heartwarming~😊
