On the 7/13 (Wed.) broadcast, in the “Kansai’s 2 Prefectures and 4 Prefectures vs. Neighboring Towns” segment,
Summer Is Here! Nearby Outings! Sea and Mountains Both Have Their Charms Showdown seemed to be “Nishinomiya” vs. “Takarazuka.”
On the show, they did street interviews asking things like:
- Takarazuka doesn’t have it, but Nishinomiya has ○○
- Nishinomiya doesn’t have it, but Takarazuka has ○○
So maybe the idea was that Nishinomiya has the sea, while Takarazuka has the mountains〜?(Though Nishinomiya has both〜🙄)
The winner of this showdown was decided by votes from the guests. So what was the result〜!?
The correct answer is…
b. Takarazuka.
Whaaat!!! An unexpected defeat😭😭😭
We at Nishi2 were convinced it had to be Nishinomiya even before watching, so this was disappointing😫 On the show, Koide of Shampoo Hat said, “I live in Nishinomiya〜,” but…(And yet he voted for Takarazuka…)
It’s hard to accept, but the Nishinomiya spots they introduced were all places we can be proud of〜!
Here are the outing spots that were featured↓↓
ARROW TREE Kurakuen
It was introduced as a sweets shop run by a greengrocer〜
They showed watermelon juice and a parfait made with a whole peach. It looked so good〜😋
ARROW TREE’s Nishinomiya shop recently relocated to a temporary location due to the redevelopment work in front of JR Nishinomiya Station(It has been open since Monday, July 4〜)
ARROW TREE’s Instagram is here
Here it is on the map↓↓
The address is Kurakuen Dai 1 Building, 8-13 Minamikoshikiiwacho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
Nishinomiya Shell Museum

In the exhibition room, there are about 5,000 shell specimens from around 2,000 species, ranging from Nishinomiya’s natural environment to shells from around the world〜! In the courtyard, you can also see the Mermaid IV, the boat used by ocean adventurer Kenichi Horie, who recently returned after successfully completing a solo, nonstop crossing of the Pacific at the oldest age in the world.
Admission is incredibly affordable: 200 yen for adults(high school students and older), 100 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and free for young children 〜😂
Here it is on the map↓↓
The address is 4-13-4 Nishinomiyahama, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
Nishinomiya Beach Resort
Just about 20 minutes by car from Kobe or Osaka, you can enjoy full-fledged marine activities here! It’s a complex marine facility with lots of places that feel like an extraordinary resort, including resort restaurants and BBQ spots〜! Really, this place feels like being overseas〜🏝
※Screenshot from CORAL PARK
It was introduced as the only place in Japan where you can try cable wakeboarding〜!
The only place in Japan is right here in Nishinomiya〜♪ Apparently even beginners can enjoy it! I really want to try it〜😊

The actual location looks like this〜!(It was cloudy that day, so the sky looks dark…) It’s a marine sport where you glide over the water while being pulled by a cable〜🏄♂️
Details are here
Here it is on the map↓↓
The address is Nishinomiya Beach Resort, 1-2 Nishihatocho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.

This is wakeboarding, which Nishi2 tried before. Sensei @ Nishi2 was in great form〜. Wakeboarding is a sport where you’re pulled by a boat, but with cable wakeboarding, it’s a cable pulling you instead of a boat〜.
Why not enjoy it this summer〜?
