I went to Koshikiiwa Shrine for hatsumode (the first shrine visit of the year) at around 11 a.m. on January 1〜

There was a long line along the approach to the shrine〜

The main hall came into view! It took about 15 minutes to get this far.

At Koshikiiwa Shrine, you can walk through a chinowa ring. It felt kind of refreshing〜

The omikuji fortunes were on the left as you face the shrine.

On the right as you face it, there was sacred sake.

This is how you receive it〜😄

The food stalls had baby castella, taiyaki, takoyaki, and cotton candy. In the foreground is the tondo-yaki bonfire.

Finally
That was our report from hatsumode at Koshikiiwa Shrine〜. Hatsumode is open from 8:00 to 20:00 on the 2nd and 3rd. For details, please check Koshikiiwa Shrine’s official blog〜.
