Up in the Mountains
The mountain areas have fewer streetlights and are darker, making them great for stargazing.
Kanno-ji Temple (Kabutoyama)
The view is so spectacular that many people go there to watch the first sunrise of the year.

Kabutoyama Forest Park
If you want to watch from a place that could be called the soul of Nishinomiya, this is the spot. The view stretches far enough that you can see Abeno Harukas, and the panoramic view in every direction should make it easy to watch. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot on the south side.

Higashi-Rokko Observatory (Royu Driveway)
This is the highest observatory in Nishinomiya, high enough that you can look down over Kabutoyama. It might be the kind of spot where you can brag a little and say, “I saw shooting stars from the closest place to the stars in Nishinomiya.”

Near the Sea in Nishinomiya
I think the seaside has all three things you want: quiet, spacious, and an open sky.
Koshienhama
The beach really is easy to watch from. It’s wide open, so you might even be able to spread out a sheet and lie down while you watch. For people in the Koshien area, it’s an easy place to get to. If it’s crowded, moving over to the reclaimed area of Koshienhama could be a good option too.

Naruohama Seaside Park Lawn Plaza (Naruohama)
This place is also very spacious, and being able to lie down on the grass while watching makes it a pretty rare and perfect spot. If you want to enjoy a youthful summer-night vibe, this might be the place.
